But do you know this man? This gentleman with the distinguished white beard.
Well, I won’t be at all surprised if you do, because he is the legendary Marshall Goldsmith.
With more than one million followers on LinkedIn, this is a man loved and revered by people in business all over the world.
Marshall Goldsmith is such an incredibly strong contributor, such a reputed leader in the world of coaching and mentoring, that Thinkers 50 stopped giving him the award and they actually named an award after him.
Last year in Toronto, Canada, I was being recognized as the #1 Customer Service Global Guru.
And you know, it was such an honor, but what made it even more special is that the person who was there to give me the recognition, the honor, hand me the award was the legendary Marshall Goldsmith, who has become my good friend.
Now Marshall and I got to talking and we thought, we both actually believe in the same thing.
He lives by this moniker, “Life is Good”. It’s how he signs his email.
It’s what he truly feels and believes. I know that about him and I love that about him.
And he knows about me that I’m a guy who’s absolutely passionately committed to help people serve, take action that creates value.
But I understand that why we serve is because we care, we care about life, we care about other people.
And what’s lying underneath care? Well, it’s genuinely love.
Love for the well-being of others. Love for the privilege of being alive. Love for this amazing miracle we share called life.
And we thought to ourselves, you know, Marshall, you and I, we’ve got a lot in common.
You love to help people with coaching and mentoring, becoming better leaders.
And I’m super strong in helping organizations improve the service that they create and build a culture of continuously Uplifting Service.
